About Us

History
Prior to its founding on December 15, 2005, CEO Anthony Webb envisioned the creation of an organization charged with the purpose of bestowing the next generations with the tools necessary to facilitate the transition through adolescence by providing youth with a supportive network and tangible tools to increase their potential to succeed.

Purpose
Boys Speak Out, Inc. seeks to widen its influence to youths and young adults by:
—  Assisting with academic, social, and professional development;
— Providing opportunities for talented children around the country to gather in one       location to hear dynamic speakers and interface with one another;
— Offering regular programming to keep participants engaged with one another and       with their community; and
— Providing stronger nexuses between universities, businesses and the local       communities which they inhabit.

Goals
Boys Speak Out, Inc. is committed to achieving measurable short term and long term goals. BSO, Inc. seeks to reach youths under the age of 18 by: 1) providing them with opportunities to be exposed to different professional and educational environments via our “For a Day” programs, 2) assisting with high school and college preparation, and 3) facilitating young boys’ transition into adolescence through dissemination of the Boys Speak Out® Forum.

— HAS ORGANIZED MORE THAN 55 "FOR A DAY PROGRAMS" AND BOYS SPEAK OUT      FORUMS REACHING MORE THAN 750 ADOLESCENTS NATION WIDE!

— HAS BEEN FEATURED IN A NUMBER OF MEDIA OUTLETS INCLUDING FORTUNE      MAGAZINE, THE CHANNEL 11 ATLANTA LOCAL NEWS "GOOD PEOPLE" SEGMENT,      THE ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION AND THE FULTON COUNTY DAILY      REPORT.

— THE ORGANIZATION'S FOUNDER AND CEO WAS AWARDED THE "UNSUNG HERO"      AWARD FROM SENATOR SAM NUNN IN RECOGNITION OF HIS COMMUNITY      SERVICE EFFORTS.

— HAS HELD FUNDRAISERS AT THE ARTHUR BLANK FAMILY OFFICE (ATLANTA),      THE CLASSIC CAR CLUB OF MANHATTAN AND THE MANSION ON PEACHTREE      (ATLANTA)

— IS COMMITTED TO (1) PROVIDING PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL    GUIDANCE      FOR OUR YOUTH, (2) CHAMPIONING EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY AND (3)      BUILDING A NETWORK OF COMPASSIONATE, FUN-LOVING PEOPLE THAT ENJOY      UPLIFTING OTHERS!
